Leadership Team - HeadTeacher, Designated Safeguarding Lead I have been the head of New Reflexions’ school since its origin in September 2008 and I am immensely proud of the vibrant learning community which it has become. More recently I have been delighted to oversee the expansion of the school to include a primary provision alongside the expanded secondary provision. My role involves the day to day running of the school, liaising with a vast range of professionals who support our students, as well as welcoming new referrals and teaching. My best days are when I get to do fun activities with our students, especially if they are a little bit competitive!

Leadership Team - Deputy Head and Primary Phase Lead, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. I’ve taught in Brighton, Edinburgh, Thailand, and Madagascar, experiences that have shaped my belief in the power of shared, positive moments in education. Sport has always been central to my teaching — whether coaching cricket, rugby, or football, I value the teamwork and confidence that grow on the pitch. As Deputy Head, I’m committed to fostering a supportive, joyful school culture where every child feels part of something meaningful.

Teachers - Teacher Having always taught in special school settings, I am an advocate for the individualised curriculum we are able to offer, enabling our teaching to be adapted to the learning style of each child. I am passionate that all children should acquire the life skills of reading and writing, and all should have access to a robust phonics scheme to support this.
In my spare time I love going on long walks with my dog as well as going to the gym where I enjoy both individual workouts and group classes.

Leadership Team - Assistant Head Teacher, Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator I have been working in education for over twenty years and have been a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator in both specialist and mainstream settings. I am passionate about the importance of the wider curriculum, of social and personal development, alongside the academic curriculum to ensure all young people have the opportunity to reach their own individual potential. In my spare time, I love to travel the world, and this is highlighted by the fact I have moved to Shropshire from Brighton!

Support Staff - HLTA I have been part of Evolution School for over five years and have had the opportunity to work with pupils of all ages across the school. I enjoy being flexible in my role and love moving around to support different classes and needs.
I am a happy, bubbly person who is always ready to help and support both pupils and staff. I am currently working towards my Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification, and as part of my training, I regularly deliver 1:1 sessions with pupils, which I find especially rewarding.
Outside of school, I am a big animal lover—my favourite animal is a shark (although I don’t think one would quite fit at home!). Instead, I have two cats and a dog named Nova, Thunder, and Wolf, who keep me very busy. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, going for walks, and exploring new places.

Support Staff - Teaching assistant I’m a calm, approachable Teaching Assistant with a passion for building confidence and celebrating every win, big or small.
Before joining education, I worked with young adults with brain injuries and later supported CSE girls, experiences that shaped my empathy, patience, and commitment to helping every student feel seen and supported.
Fun fact: I once jumped out of a plane from 12,000ft… on purpose.
I’m currently working towards my Lego Therapy qualification, because who wouldn’t want to help others using bricks and creativity?
Outside of school, you’ll usually find me cheering on my beloved Wrexham AFC (and yes, I have met Ryan Reynolds), pottering around the garden growing my own veg, or hanging out with my two cats — Buddy and Bella, the chaotic brother‑and‑sister duo.

Teachers - Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages and HLTA I have a passion for foreign languages and qualified as a secondary MFL teacher in 2006.
I have taught children in both secondary and primary schools and enjoy seeing students discover new languages and skills.
Outside of the classroom I enjoy all sorts of sports and play the piano and guitar for fun. I started at The Henslow School in March 2025 and can't wait to support the students' language journey.
