Charity Fundraising

Raising money for those less fortunate than ourselves is an important part of student life in Henslow School.

Students make requests to support different causes and both staff and students get involved in the events.

Comic Relief:

Every year staff and students come to school in their mufti clothes and pay for the privilege.

In 2021 we raised a record £159.57, mainly thanks to Alfie's Sponsored Silence. He declined to be interviewed!

In 2024 we raised over £61 to support the Comic Relief appeal.

In 2025 students easily beat last year’s Comic Relief total by paying £2 to wear their own clothes. Staff and students raised over £60. Kiesha organised a cake sale and raised £27.50 and Alfie, Alfie, Ashley and Faith raised £110 in sponsorship money. Alfie won the Comic Relief Bucket Hat raising £67 by himself. In total we raised £206.20.

Children In Need:

A non-uniform day is always a popular way to raise money for good causes in 2021, staff and students donated £2 for wearing yellow.

In 2022 we raised £41.60 through donations for wearing non-uniform and Kiesha raised a further £38 treating us all to a sponsored silence!

Jeans for Genes:

Students on the School Council decided that it would be good to start the new academic year by fundraising and chose to support this charity raising awareness of individuals and families affected by a genetic condition.
