Mrs Jacqui Brooks BA (QTS) MA, NPQH

I have been the head of New Reflexions’ school since its origin in September 2008 and I am immensely proud of the vibrant learning community which it has become. More recently I have been delighted to oversee the expansion of the school to include a primary provision alongside the enlarged secondary provision. My role involves the day to day running of the school, liaising with a vast range of professionals who support our students, as well as welcoming new referrals and teaching. My best days are when I get to do fun activities with our students, especially if they are a little bit competitive!

Having been heavily invested in a sport and coaching career, I use my transferable skills to re-engage with education and teach students in an FE setting. As a PE and Vocational Skills teacher, I have found many ways to support young people through daily challenges they face within the academic world. I enjoy tailoring programmes of study and activity to meet the needs of my students and help them realise a future in education and employment.  I have extensive leadership experience in a range of educational settings which align well to support our pupils to make good progress in all areas of their school life.

Henslow School understands the needs of our pupils and works collaboratively to personalise approaches for every individual and establish positive relationships.

Miss Donna Barber

I have been working in education for over twenty years and have been a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator in both specialist and mainstream settings. I am passionate about the importance of the wider curriculum, of social and personal development, alongside the academic curriculum to ensure all young people have the opportunity to reach their own individual potential.

In my spare time, I love to travel the world, and this is highlighted by the fact I have only recently moved to Shropshire from Brighton!

I am very excited to have the opportunity to be SENCO at The Henslow and Evolution Schools. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and to start supporting the wide variety of personalised learning that I know goes on in the schools.
