Ms Emma Salt BA (Hons)

I have worked for New Reflexions for 15 years, teaching secondary Computing, Computer Science and Art and as the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator at The Henslow and Evolution School, our SEMH school in Shropshire.

Special Educational Needs is of a particular interest to me and the opening of Longridge school provided me with the opportunity to move into the field of learning disabilities. I have received extensive attachment training and more recently completed my Level 4 Makaton training to support learners with communication difficulties.

I resolutely advocate that learning differences will not define our students nor limit their opportunities to experience success and l am looking forward to the exciting challenges of our new school.

Mrs Donna MacDonald BA (Hons)

I have worked in education for 30 years and am passionate about my specialist subject; Humanities. Geography and History are essential to help students understand and appreciate the world around them. I try to deliver a curriculum which is fun, engaging and relevant with an interesting narrative. I am a member of the National College of Teaching and regularly network and connect with teachers from across the country to discuss current practices and pedagogies in education.

In my leisure time I read, especially romantic novels; I love a bit of Downton Abbey! I also like to get out and about in the countryside and my favourite place to walk is Carding Mill Valley in Shropshire. I love my native county of Yorkshire and the Dales. I have bought an electric bike in lockdown and hope to cycle more this year.
